Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Spa Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our spa and wellness team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to guests, using a positive and clear speaking voice to ensure a seamless check-in experience.
  • Process guest check-ins, including inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, and promoting our brand marketing programs.
  • Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank, as well as accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, retrieve messages, and communicate the content to the guest, while maintaining a calm and alert demeanor, especially during emergency situations.
  • Close guest accounts at time of check-out, ensuring satisfaction, and negotiate compromises when necessary.
  • Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results, while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to attendance rules and being available to work on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Considerable skill in using a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the spa and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
