Position Summary

The Tire Service Technician is responsible for executing tire repairs, replacements, and general maintenance on tires and wheels. This role demands a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as job priorities may shift based on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and comply with OSHA regulations and standards while performing all duties.
  • Expertly mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair truck tires.
  • Label removed tires and wheels with customer information.
  • Utilize hydraulic jacks, air tools, and heavy handheld tools for tire service.
  • Identify repairable tires and execute repairs accordingly, discarding those that are beyond repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area.
  • Document all work performed clearly on tags, work orders, and invoices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize provided safety equipment.
  • Conduct daily maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Review service work orders for completeness before submission to the Service Manager.
  • Ensure all products are accompanied by the appropriate paperwork.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment by keeping customers away from service areas.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure prompt service delivery.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are preferred:

Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of related experience is beneficial, though training will be provided.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency is required.
  • Comprehension: Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge; additional training will be provided as necessary.
  • Equipment Operation: Capable of using lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, and other related equipment.
  • Professional Appearance: Uniforms are provided and must be maintained in a clean and professional manner.
