Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tire Service Technician to join our team at Service Tire Truck Center Inc. as a Mobile Tire Repair Specialist. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient repair of tires and wheels at customer locations, on the road, or at our service center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Road Service: Respond to emergency service calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels at customer locations.
  • Tire Repair and Replacement: Mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair truck tires at our service center, customer locations, or on the road using a service vehicle or in-service shop.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance on service vehicles, tools, and equipment, and ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork.
  • Customer Service: Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to internal and external customers, and ensure customer satisfaction is a top priority.
  • Communication: Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders, and/or invoices, and report all tools or equipment that need repair or are broken.
  • Safety and Efficiency: Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, use all provided safety equipment, and report all unsafe actions, problems, or abnormal situations to the Service Manager or Branch Manager.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year or more related work experience is helpful; STTC will train.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine correspondence; ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of STTC.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral, or diagram form.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to use a computer; training will be provided as needed.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Dress Code: Uniforms are provided by Service Tire Truck Centers at a reasonable cost per company policy; uniforms must remain clean and free from holes or tears.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions; and frequently exposed to hot and cold warehouse conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
