Position Overview:
Paralegals collaborate closely with attorneys to oversee cases from their inception to trial.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct communication with clients to address discovery requests
- Drafting discovery documents and summarizing responses
- Preparing substantive correspondence and legal pleadings
- Assisting in deposition preparations and expert discovery
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting
Familiarity with case management software
Understanding of California Rules of Court and Code of Civil Procedure
Experience in calendaring court deadlines in both Federal and State Courts
Proficient in electronic filing of documents in Federal and State Courts
Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
Essential Skills:
Strong initiative and attention to detail
Highly organized with excellent communication skills
Proficient writing and grammar skills
Competence in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor
Capability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
