About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to join our Houston team. The successful candidate will have expertise in cost management and estimating across all construction stages, preferably for real estate projects within the commercial, hospitality, interiors, and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and comprehensive estimate and cost planning services, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels, using industry-leading formats such as Uniformat and CSI Masterformat.
  • Assist in providing feasibility studies and applying parametric benchmark cost data.
  • Analyze cost data and present findings in reports.
  • Undertake cost assurance of third-party estimates, report writing, and presentation.
  • Manage procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual document compilation.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Lead cost management commissions and ensure timely delivery of accountabilities.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients and report ideas to line managers.
  • Identify improvements for cost estimating and cost management procedures, templates, and products.

Requirements

  • Competency in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CostX, and Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency in using industry estimating databases and other estimating data sources.
  • College degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor, or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Manager on real estate projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work in a client-facing role.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
