Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting contractors, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with site health and safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare necessary tools and materials, and set up equipment for daily tasks. Use hand and power tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently.

• Follow project instructions from the manager or supervisor. Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

• Provide assistance to contractors and other laborers as needed.

• Maintain a safe work environment and direct workflow, following all safety guidelines. Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn. Safely operate a variety of tools.

• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials, and ensure equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each day.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 2 years of relevant experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Courses in general shop, welding, mechanical drawing, blueprint reading, physics, and mathematics are helpful; vocational school or apprenticeships in a related field a plus.

• General laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.

• Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge to use; computer skills, estimating skills a plus.

• Good interpersonal skills/communication skills with all levels of management and an ability to work both independently and as an active member of a team a must.

Range $18-31 DOE
