Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a Staff Nurse PICU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, family-centered care to our young patients.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek, working primarily from 7 pm to 7:30 am. You will be based onsite, providing direct patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and educational needs, developing individualized plans for care that prioritize their well-being and family centeredness.
- Clinical Leadership: Demonstrate expertise in leadership and professional duties, including delegating tasks, mentoring colleagues, and promoting quality improvement initiatives within your scope of practice.
- Nursing Expertise: Develop and implement evidence-based practices, focusing on pediatric-specific nursing skills and contributing to the development of education for staff members.
- Interprofessional Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, other nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless coordination of care and efficient operation of our pediatric services.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required; if not already obtained, you must obtain this degree within five years of hire. Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is also mandatory. A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio is required.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
