We are seeking a talented Systems Analyst (Backend Developer) - Java to become a vital part of our innovative team at Sigmaways Inc.

In this position, you will be responsible for writing, modifying, and debugging software applications with varying levels of complexity, ranging from simple to highly intricate systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test, and enhance software applications.
  • Independently troubleshoot programming issues, providing effective solutions and resolving them promptly.
  • Support and improve existing IT applications and services, including new EDI requirements and client acquisitions.
  • Prepare and execute test plans as necessary.
  • Complete assigned departmental tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system/application performance issues with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with a geographically dispersed team on application development, bug fixes, enhancements, and quality assurance processes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with RDBMS – Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres.
  • 4+ years of practical experience with the JAVA programming language.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data exchange, and data conversion.
  • Familiarity with Internet/Intranet and client/server technologies.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively with management and team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from clients and staff.
  • Adaptable and flexible in learning and understanding new technologies.
