Job Summary

The Director of Physician Services II is a key leadership role at St. David's HealthCare, responsible for overseeing the operations, budget, and general management of a portfolio of practices within a defined geographic area or specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic, ongoing communications and interactions with hospital division leaders from both a strategic and tactical standpoint.
  • Build effective partnerships with hospital and operations team members to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, remove barriers and resistance, and enable desirable behavior.
  • Collaborate with Division service line leaders and hospital business development leaders to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Direct and manage strategic projects for areas such as patient flow, patient satisfaction, practice volume, billing and collections, service utilization, coding, physician and staff training.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor practice budgets, analyzing financial impact of changes and forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Supervise physicians and practice staff, meeting regularly with constituents to review practice strategy, market and division goals, financial performance, and practice key indicators.
  • Oversee physician recruiting and contracting in collaboration with other PSG colleagues.
  • Work with physicians and division leadership to provide innovative practice growth and quality solutions that maintain and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Promote consistent patient interactions that advance the agenda of increased patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in health or business administration required.
  • Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.
  • CMPE completion preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in practice management of multiple locations required.
  • 5+ years of relevant clinical operations experience required.
