Land Development Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and design of various commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
  • Conduct design, drafting, calculations, and oversee field operations for data collection.
  • Evaluate improvement plans, including street, grading, water, sewer, and storm drain designs.
  • Develop and prepare engineering plans and documentation (grading, drainage, street, sewer, water, etc.).
  • Generate cost estimates and quantity assessments.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data and create comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare and review drainage reports, calculations, and stormwater management plans.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in civil engineering principles, mathematics, physics, topography, construction surveying, and analytical mechanics.
  • Exceptional technical and communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Familiarity with public agency standards and guidelines.

Water Resources

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
  • Produce detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater initiatives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of various engineering reports, such as alignment studies, feasibility assessments, and Master Plans.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling for water and sewer systems.
  • Coordinate engineering tasks during project execution, addressing permitting issues, submittal reviews, survey coordination, and change order evaluations.
  • Design mechanical projects, including pump and lift stations, wells, and treatment facilities, along with site grading plans.
  • Provide support to multiple design teams and Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to create drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphical representations of engineering designs using CAD software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with two years of relevant project experience.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of planning and construction documentation.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to interpret and adapt to local agency standards while effectively communicating with agencies and clients.
