Behavior Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Community Options, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN.
About the Role:As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments, to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to implement evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed care and positive behavior supports, to help individuals achieve their goals and live a meaningful and independent life.
Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients using evidence-based practices
- Model and implement behavior support strategies specified in the behavior support plan
- Provide family and caregiver training under the direction of supervising clinicians
- Collect data and complete session notes using ABA software
- Work cooperatively with supervising BCBAs and treatment team members to ensure ethical and high-quality service delivery
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and treatment team to guide and improve treatment planning
- Attend staff trainings, group supervision, and individual supervision meetings
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to enroll and complete 40-hour RBT training and certification exam
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to implement behavior plans independently and confidently
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with participants and their families, caregivers, school staff, and related service providers
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Ability to collect data and complete session notes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
