Amentum is seeking a skilled Exterior Electric Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Fort Carson.

Purpose and Scope:

The Exterior Electric Maintenance Specialist performs tasks that require physical abilities and effort, mainly in the Electric Shop. This role assists in general maintenance and minor repair tasks, including cleaning floors, walls, and ceilings, and picking up around the shop area, walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing PWS required lighting checks at multiple locations on Fort Carson.
  • Support the maintenance and repair of exterior lighting systems, traffic lights, and intersection signage, pedestrian crossings, school zone flashers, and any exterior electrical issue that falls under the Exterior Electric shop.
  • Work as a ground person for other employees working in bucket trucks and digger derrick trucks, requiring working in and around traffic safely and supporting the safety of the employee working in the bucket truck.
  • Lift materials and equipment up to 75 lbs.
  • Support Exterior Electric employees while operating different types of lifts, requiring successfully completing T&H Services Lift Training Classes.
  • Clean the Exterior Electric Facilities and vehicles.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum of one year experience in facility laborer field/maintenance.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record within the past 36 months, as defined by Company policy.
  • Must be 18yrs of age and must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
