Key Responsibilities

Acknowledging the significance of exemplary teaching for improved student outcomes, the core responsibilities of the Educational Development Specialist may include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrating advanced expertise in instructional practices
  • Showcasing exemplary teaching methods through demonstration lessons
  • Collaborating with school leadership to establish a unified vision of effective teaching
  • Leading the implementation of comprehensive school improvement strategies related to curriculum design and delivery
  • Playing a pivotal role in professional development initiatives, including creating frameworks for peer observation and feedback
  • Supporting educators in utilizing feedback to enhance their teaching practices
  • Offering data-driven insights to inform teaching effectiveness and professional growth
  • Providing expert guidance on strategies for individual and school-wide professional learning
  • Mentoring and supervising student teachers and coaching fellow educators
  • Utilizing student performance data to inform instructional approaches

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the relevant teaching authority and possess qualifications or demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum areas.
