School Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Daytime School Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the school during school hours.

• Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and common areas; empty trash and recycling bins.
• Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and materials; ensure proper storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Safety: Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment; ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Support: Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities; respond to emergency cleaning needs promptly.

• Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Skills: Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently; knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals; strong attention to detail.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Communication: Good communication skills to interact with school staff and address concerns effectively.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Preferred.

• Daytime Hours: Typically 8:30am - 4:30pm, with occasional flexibility needed for school events.

• Valid SSN and Government-Issued ID: Required.
• PA Criminal Records Check: Required.
• Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI): Required.
• Child Abuse History Clearance: Required.
• National Sex Offender Registry Verification: Required.
