Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Wilkes University. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities, including residence halls, athletic areas, administrative and academic buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and office areas
  • Operate light floor machines and attachments, such as vacuums and floor buffers
  • Perform general maintenance work, including replacing light bulbs and plunging toilets
  • Assist with event set-ups and seasonal grounds maintenance
  • Remove and transport garbage and recyclables from throughout campus
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid PA driver's license
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Proficient technical skills to perform associated tasks
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety regulations and other documentation pertinent to the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, and web-based applications)
