Job Summary:

Curacao is seeking a Security Officer to provide security and prevent theft at all entrances at designated stores. This role is responsible for enforcing company policies and providing customer service. The Security Officer will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for executing and enforcing all company policies at all Curacao stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide security and prevent theft at all entrances at designated stores

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have guard card
  • Minimum 6 months of security experience
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, and push/pull objects
  • Knowledge of the Power of Arrest and detainment required
  • Valid government issued ID for police reports and court purposes

Work Environment:

The Security Officer will work in a fast pace environment and will be required to stand for long periods of time. The physical demands of this role include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • 6 months loss prevention or security experience

Language Skills:

  • English and Spanish

Computer Skills:

  • Excel, Word

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Guard Card

Other Requirements:

  • Math Skills that allow the candidate to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, percentages and decimals
