Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Systems Manager to oversee the installation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems on commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coordinate:
    • Manage and direct MEP subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project plans, specifications, and budget.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between MEP subcontractors, other trades, and the project team.
  • Schedule and Quality Control:
    • Collaborate with MEP subcontractors to develop detailed work schedules and track progress against those plans.
    • Implement a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for MEP systems, ensuring installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety and Administration:
    • Champion safety on the job site, enforcing safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
    • Maintain detailed daily logs and progress reports documenting MEP work completed.
  • Project Management and Client Communication:
    • Work with the Project Manager or General Superintendent to integrate MEP activities into the overall project timeline.
    • Communicate effectively with the client regarding MEP systems, addressing any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in commercial construction, with a thorough understanding of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and their integration within a building.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and build strong team relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities to develop and maintain detailed work schedules and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Proficient in construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
