Job Title: Construction Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Brown University. As a key member of our Facilities Management and Campus Operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction administration activities associated with a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplined project work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement construction schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage and resolve issues, conflicts, and risks associated with construction projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to university stakeholders, faculty, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in commercial or institutional construction, renovations, additions, and operating upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry-standard practices and processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
