Job Summary

The Kelberman Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager Residential. This position is responsible for supporting the Residence Manager in overseeing daily shift operations, ensuring the accomplishment of program-wide goals, and coordinating the scheduling of staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Residence Manager in overseeing daily shift operations and ensuring the accomplishment of program-wide goals.
  • Coordinate Staff Scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of the program.
  • Monitor Safety and Well-being of individuals and report any issues as necessary.
  • Ensure Compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
  • Participate in Agency Activities under the supervision of the Residence Manager.
  • Develop and Maintain effective communication networks with individuals, program staff, families, community agencies, and other Agency departments.
  • Establish a Positive Work Environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Perform Other Duties as assigned by the Residence Manager or other Agency personnel.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field (human services, sociology, general studies, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of One Year of progressively responsible experience in the field of autism, developmental disabilities, education, health care, or mental health services.
  • Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills and ability to learn Agency software and systems.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills and ability to work with diverse personalities and needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
