Logistics and Materials Scheduling Specialist

This role is responsible for managing various aspects of customer relations, including production, prototype, and aftermarket order entry, as well as shipping functions on the MRP system and EDI tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing control practices, manufacturing systems, and scheduling techniques, with a minimum of an Associate's Degree level education.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain production, prototype, and aftermarket orders in the MRP system.
Maintain effective and professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
Communicate with pertinent managers/supervision regarding parts and quantities to be shipped.
Review electronic receipt of customer planning and ship schedules and communicate changes that occur within a firm period.
Prepare, submit, and verify ASN's as necessary.
Ensure parts are shipped to and returned from outside processing within lead time and in accordance with production schedule.
Maintain production and prototype files of Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Credit Memos.
Maintain running record of all production and prototype actions and procedures.
Responsible for updating all EDI software, pulling from EDI all production orders, shipping schedules, and receiving advice's, etc. that are transmitted from the customers. Record and update information concerning backup system for ready access in sending ASN's if our system fails. Maintain EDI records and customer information regarding EDI.
Take action on MRP messages to expedite, de-expedite, release, and cancel purchase orders. Monitor and expedite product to delivery points as required.
Maintain customer websites, answering daily shortages and new model launch requirements accurately.
Monitor and maintain customer packaging requirements.
Responsible for working with TPL regarding the export and waybill requirements.
Ensure MRP system accuracy and success.
Responsible for customer online systems. - Ford, GM, Stellantis, AAM,
Monitor and maintain weekly backlog report.
Detect and reconcile cumulative ship quantity disagreements in a timely manner.
Implement systems to monitor and report on company performance to customer delivery requirements.
Perform administrative duties as required by purchasing system including opening and entering new purchase orders, transmitting purchase orders to suppliers, and closing purchase orders.
