Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct care to patients under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare environment and be certified through a recognized national professional association.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care
  • Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and other clinical tasks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association
  • One year of medical assistant work experience within the last three years (or equivalent experience)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to three years of previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Graduation from a Medical Assisting training program from an accredited program of study
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to frequent changes. The ideal candidate will be able to work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays, with individual shift rotation and schedules established with the Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
