Position Overview
The Manager, Accounting will play a pivotal role within the Pharmacy Service (PS) accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Pharmacy Services Controllers Group. This position is integral to overseeing financial operations, ensuring the precise and timely recording of financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Distribute work assignments effectively, manage team workloads, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Support the development of team members through guidance, training, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Coordinate and assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any findings.
- Contribute to the formulation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or budgeting.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work onsite as required.
Preferred:
- Experience in a corporate accounting environment or public accounting.
- Comfort in communicating with senior management and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP products and Workday payroll.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is between $60,000 and $139,200 annually. This range represents the base salary for all positions within this job grade. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including experience and education.
