A Senior Manager, Income Franchise Tax at BDO USA, LLP is responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients on state and local tax matters. Key Responsibilities- Research and Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research on state and local tax laws and regulations to identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Analyze complex tax situations and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Tax Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of state and local tax returns.
- Respond to notices from state taxing authorities and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Tax Consulting
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Provide expert advice to clients on state and local tax matters.
- Tax Controversy
- Represent clients in tax audits and disputes with state taxing authorities.
- Tax Specialization
- Provide technical expertise on state and local tax matters to clients.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Master's degree in Taxation or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- 8+ years of experience in state and local tax.
- Experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis.
- Skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
BDO USA, LLP offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
