Seasonal Tax Senior Manager, Income Franchise

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues and leading a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of tax professionals in providing state income tax compliance services to multi-state companies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in state and local tax, providing guidance and support to clients and team members.
- Review and analyze information related to state income and franchise tax estimated payments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, and supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
- Monitor risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
- Collaborate with other professionals to identify new business opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice.
- Minimum eight years of experience with state income tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, or pass-through entities.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field of study from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM, EA, or MTX, or other approved designations/credentials.
- Experience providing services to public companies and a solid knowledge of relevant state tax concepts.
- Ability to foster relationships both internally and with clients, and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff-level team members.
- Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management, and tax compliance skills.
