Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Marlborough, MA. As a key member of our Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) team, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and supporting our existing fielded systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cutting-edge air traffic control systems, including the STARS system, to ensure safe and efficient air traffic management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, develop technical documentation, and facilitate briefings with stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation by developing creative solutions to customer challenges and crafting system and product-level requirements.
  • Verify requirements by developing rigorous sell-off criteria, ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with expertise in requirements decomposition, flow-down, and verification.
  • Prior experience with IBM DOORS, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and preparing and facilitating briefings with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be willing to obtain FAA clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with programming skills in C++ and/or Java/J2EE, scripting languages like Python, or modeling tools such as MATLAB.
  • Prior experience supporting a US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) government contract.
  • Prior experience with Agile Development Processes.
  • Prior experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x.
