We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Tech to join our team at Lakeview Hospital. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict sterile technique and infection control protocols.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring accurate patient identification and verification of surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
- Count and verify surgical sponges, needles, and instruments, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 30 days of employment.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred (CST) or equivalent.
- Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
- One year operating room experience preferred.
