Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Mountain West Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining and processing surgical instruments and equipment. This is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and facility protocols.
  • Monitor and record sterilization cycles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform quality control checks on instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with the OR team to ensure seamless instrument and equipment delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest sterilization techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Training in basic aseptic technique and sterile processing.
  • One year of experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing, preferably in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center environment.
  • Valid BCLS certification upon employment.
  • Certification in Central Processing as per facility and state regulatory requirements.
