Job Summary

Supermicro Computer's Hardware Designing team is seeking an experienced Staff Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance motherboards for our server products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to optimize product specifications and analyze technical feasibility.
  • Responsible for schematics capture, layout checking, BOM generating, and debugging and testing of server motherboards and add-on cards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover and solve engineering issues and ensure product quality.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including product specifications, layout instructions, and test procedures.
  • Ensure products conform to engineering specifications, EMC and energy regulations, and customer performance expectations.
  • Provide technical support to contract manufacturers and production department during product sample and production stages.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Master's degree strongly desirable.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience working with PCB design or layout experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout.
  • Strong communication, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience on PCB design in enterprise networking servers is a plus.
