Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Architect to join our team in Dallas/Fort Worth. As a Staff Architect, you will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of project types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various building types, including data centers, power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, governmental, and military facilities.
  • Design exterior and interior components and architectural requirements for client vision set forth by project managers.
  • Apply strong knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the architecture industry.
  • Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers. Compile studies and reports. Write specifications.
  • Update drawings provided by senior architects to verify corrections are made within multiple software platforms.
  • Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program and 4 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred. Required or Master's Degree in Architecture and 3 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred. Required.
  • Demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect.
  • Strong knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
