Job Overview

Position: Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.

Role Summary:

The Class A CDL Driver will be primarily engaged in operating dump trucks and trailers, as well as loading, unloading, and securing equipment. The role also includes operating various commercial paving machinery such as bobcat skid steers, small rollers, and mini excavators, along with occasional light labor tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and participating in safety training.
  • Assisting in job site setup and cleanup activities.
  • Operating commercial paving equipment including skid steers and rollers.
  • Performing miscellaneous tasks as directed by project supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record; experience with commercial vehicles is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of CDL driving experience is preferred.
  • Ability to complete electronic logs and digital timesheets.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of lifting at least 40 pounds and performing various physical tasks including stretching, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Regular exposure to varying weather conditions is expected.
