About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled International Commodity Trader to join our team at Georgia-Pacific. As a key member of our sales trading team, you will be responsible for expanding our international trading business and growing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to sustain and grow business in the paper and fiber sales sector.
- Pricing products competitively and negotiating contracts with clients to secure favorable terms.
- Foster strong relationships with global partners, coordinating sales efforts and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential customers, understand their needs, and develop tailored sales proposals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally in the paper and fiber industry.
- Demonstrated industry knowledge and experience in the paper and fiber sector.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time, including international & domestic travel, based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in brokerage of recycled paper and fiber, including knowledge of pricing mechanisms and market dynamics.
- Bilingual proficiency in any relevant language to effectively communicate with global partners and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Sales, or a related discipline.
