Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader Program

CVS Health is committed to developing the next generation of pharmacy leaders. Our Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) program is a comprehensive development program designed to equip pharmacists with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in leadership roles.

Program Overview

The PMEL program is a 24-month program that provides participants with a structured learning experience, including self-paced learning, key learning experiences, and mentorship. Participants will broaden their capabilities and understand the meaningful role pharmacy leaders play in developing their teams and delivering results.

Key Program Components
  • Self-paced learning focused on foundational knowledge and key learning experiences
  • Mentorship and coaching to support participants in their development
  • Opportunities to apply learning and develop skills in a real-world setting
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PMEL program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently work full-time (30+ hours per week)
  • All current role required training 100% completed
  • Meets Expectations or higher rating on last performance review
  • Moderate or Strong Pharmacy Manager assessment (Virtual Job Tryout) score
  • Not currently on a level three warning or performance improvement plan within last year
  • Willingness to consider and accept a promotion into a Pharmacy Manager position if a promotion is offered
