Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mercy Hospital Springfield. As an Oncology/Hematology Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mercy Service Standards.
Requirements
  • Current RN License (eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri)
  • BLS from AHA only, Chemo Certification, NIHSS (may be obtained prior to start)
  • 1 year Med Surg/Oncology or 1 year Oncology, inpatient only
Work Environment

Our Oncology/Hematology unit is a 23-bed unit with a patient ratio of 6:1 (adjusted for certain chemotherapy regimens). We utilize EPIC as our EMR system and require a self-driven, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
