Sanitary Engineer Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitary Engineer Inspector to join our team at Greene County, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction of utility-related projects, enforcing regulations and specifications, and maintaining a professional manner when interacting with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect pipes, manholes, valves, hydrants, reinforcing steel, concrete, gravel bedding, and backfill to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Locate and mark existing sanitary mains, sanitary laterals, water mains, water services, grinder pumps, and electrical services to grinder pumps within rights-of-way and easements.
- Study public work project plans, contract documents, regulations, and specifications to ensure contractor compliance.
- Oversee air, vacuum, and mandrel testing of sanitary mains, laterals, and manholes, as well as pressure and leakage testing of water mains, services, and fire hydrants.
- Assist with snow removal as needed.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
- 36 months of experience in sanitary sewer and water main construction
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
As a full-time permanent employee of Greene County, you will be eligible for a wide variety of benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, optional life insurance plans, wellness program, employee assistance program, and deferred compensation plans.
The County pays 80% of the health care premium and 39% of the dental premium. All full-time employees are eligible for $50,000 group life insurance paid 100% by the County.
