Job Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality critical care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal RN will possess a robust background in CVICU nursing, demonstrating readiness for a challenging yet fulfilling role.
Unit Specifications:
- Bed Capacity: 16
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Patient Demographics: Adult patients
- Common Diagnoses: Patients undergoing cardiac procedures, thoracic surgeries, and those requiring advanced interventions such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
- Medications and Drips: Familiarity with cardiac medications and drips such as Levophed is essential.
- Charting System: Proficiency in EPIC is required for effective patient documentation.
- Floating Requirements: Flexibility to float to other units as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current NY RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in CVICU
- Availability to work every third weekend
