Medication Aide and Long Term Care Specialist

Provides high-quality care and services to residents in a long-term care setting, including medication administration, healthcare services, and activities of daily living assistance.
Assists residents with self-administration of medications and may administer medications with proper training.
Ensures residents maintain proper and clean appearance, assists with bathing and cleanliness, and helps with toileting needs.
Assists with dressing and undressing, maintains proper clothing, and helps with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
Obtains vital signs accurately and reports changes in resident health status.
Follows OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections and adheres to aseptic cleaning techniques.
Assists with meal preparation and serving, folds and distributes clean linens, and prepares and launders soiled linen.
Cleans residents' rooms and bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
Participates in community involvement and works with volunteers.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies.
