Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist RRT at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating various treatments related to respiratory problems for patients across all age groups. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide effective direct care, communicate patient care updates, and respond to emergency and critical care situations. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patients, taking the proper course of action, and extending therapy to those in need. You will also be responsible for managing critical care patients, performing floor therapy modalities, and contributing to the productive operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and coordinate respiratory treatments for patients across all age groups.
  • Provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Communicate patient care updates to members of the team.
  • Respond to emergency and critical care situations.
  • Assess patients and take the proper course of action.
  • Manage critical care patients.
  • Perform floor therapy modalities.
  • Contribute to the productive operation of the department.

Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Care Professional) in the state of Georgia.
  • Associates Degree.
  • One (1) year prior experience in a relevant position.

Physical Demands:
  • Weight Lifted: Up to 20 lbs, Frequently 31-65% of time.
  • Weight Carried: Up to 20 lbs, Frequently 31-65% of time.
  • Vision: Moderate, Constantly 66-100% of time.
  • Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Standing/Walking: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%.
  • Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%.
