IDEAL CANDIDATE

A proven history of effective teamwork and a preference for dynamic, cross-functional collaboration are essential. Proficiency in interpreting technical details, negotiating contracts, and managing timelines for complex projects is crucial. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will cultivate community and client relationships throughout the development journey, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure project success. Your role will encompass strategic project management alongside demonstrated technical expertise, with a focus on clear and precise communication with stakeholders, both internal and external. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development of utility-scale wind and solar projects across designated regions.
- Representing the company to federal, state, and local authorities, as well as other stakeholders.
- Overseeing the permitting processes at various governmental levels.
- Managing the preparation and submission of necessary documentation.
- Interpreting technical reports to assess project impacts.
- Providing management with updates on project status and regulatory changes.
- Overseeing project financial models and interconnection activities.
- Negotiating landowner agreements and maintaining relationships.
- Coordinating the interconnection process for projects.
- Compiling and analyzing data for stakeholders.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and financial forecasts.
- Supporting negotiations for power purchase agreements.
- Developing project marketing strategies in partnership with the Public Affairs Team.
- Supervising project consultants across various disciplines.
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Traveling to project sites and attending relevant meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a strong academic background.
- Minimum of three years of project development experience, with a preference for utility-scale wind or solar projects.
- Demonstrated project management and contract negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of commercial wind and energy storage markets.
- Understanding of renewable energy financing and project financial models.
- Experience with permitting processes at county and state levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead multidisciplinary teams.
