Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Wound Care Coordinator - RN. As a key member of our nursing center, you will lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program, collaborating with nursing center management to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and integrate a comprehensive Skin Health and Wound management program, ensuring adherence to national guidelines and standards.
- Support central supply as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products, promoting evidence-based practice.
- Oversee durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement wound care plans, promoting patient-centered care.
- Provide education and training to nursing center staff on skin health and wound management, ensuring a culture of excellence.
- Must possess a RN license and national accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC).
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls and complete Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire.
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team.
- Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management.
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products, as well as nursing home regulations and survey process.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, and PowerPoint skills.
