Job Summary

As a Test Department Manager at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, you will be responsible for leading a team of test technicians and engineers in the development and execution of test plans for electronic assemblies. Your expertise in advanced test equipment operations and related uses and safeguards will be essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with test technicians, assembly teams, and production management to ensure quality products and timely deliveries
  • Develop and interpret new test requirements, ensuring the proper test equipment and documentation is available to meet specification compliance and to support assembly schedules
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machines and equipment
  • Develop test procedures and assist engineering with developing tests for equipment under development
  • Manage respective personnel and resources to meet production schedules and to coordinate employee actions
  • Train, develop, and cross-train technicians and other respective employees
  • Mentor junior technicians in performing complex diagnosis and coordinate corrective actions of product lines
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent; electronic technician training or an AS Degree in Electronic Technology preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years combined experience as an upper-level test technician with an emphasis on demonstrating leadership skills within a precision measurement equipment laboratory environment
  • Proven depth and experience diagnosing and providing technical solutions for complex problems within products containing RF and digital electronics
  • Advanced experience with MS Office
  • MRP experience a plus
Work Environment/Physical Requirements

This position is located in a production environment and requires the ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, perform repetitive motion, and lift up to 30 pounds. 20/20 vision and color vision with or without corrective lenses are also required.
