Position Summary:

This role involves agile software development within a Java/JEE framework. The software engineering position focuses on operational and maintenance support. Responsibilities include identifying software issues, crafting innovative solutions for a range of tasks, and managing multiple assignments while implementing corrective measures in a critical program environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic team setting.
This position necessitates proficiency in Java/JEE, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Design, UML, and Service-Oriented Architecture. A foundational understanding of architectural frameworks, planning methodologies, and system interfaces is expected. Familiarity with areas such as conventional and nuclear planning systems, missile platforms, and various weapon systems is advantageous.
Knowledge of enterprise-level applications, including Enterprise Data Base (EDB), and their release cycles is essential. A solid grasp of agile software development lifecycles is also required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as is responsiveness to client needs and expectations.

Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for classified information access. An active Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

Required Qualifications:
1. Experience in Java/JEE software development, with knowledge of JEE design patterns and best practices.
2. Familiarity with GWT, Ext JS, JavaScript/JSP, and Struts/Spring frameworks.
3. Experience with web services application servers (e.g., Oracle, Tomcat, Weblogic).
4. Strong understanding of rich presentation layers, UI design, Eclipse, and JUnit.
5. Solid application development and architectural skills, including model-driven development and proper layering techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with JUnit, MagicDraw, Crucible, Fisheye, Subversion, and JIRA.
2. Development experience using agile methodologies such as SCRUM/XP.
3. Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
4. Recent experience with Global Strike and/or Data Services applications is a plus.
5. Familiarity with domain-specific models and algorithms, including missile flight models and fratricide models.
6. Capability in multi-functional engineering disciplines that encompass the entire development lifecycle, including Systems Engineering and architecture design principles.
7. Proficiency in developing software test plans and documentation.
8. Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration and testing processes, with the ability to manage concurrent tasks.
