Job Description

Architectural Fiberglass, Inc. is seeking a skilled Auto CAD Draftsman/Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings for commercial construction projects, as well as 2D/3D visuals. Your expertise in AutoCAD will enable you to analyze and review project drawings, perform takeoffs, and price out projects accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare clear, complete, and detailed CAD drawings for commercial construction projects.
  • Assist in the creation of shop drawings using AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings to produce final shop drawings.
  • Ensure document control by storing and archiving files for easy retrieval.
  • Interface and coordinate with clients, sales staff, structural engineers, owners, and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Stay up-to-date with principles of engineering and construction.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working within deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
