Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary faculty and gain unique research experience in both observational data analyses and randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant area to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to research, a collaborative work ethic, and strong communication skills. This position is appointed through the Lerner Research Institute and is expected to be completed within 5 years.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute observational studies focusing on community-acquired pneumonia
  • Develop a detailed statistical analytic plan and collaborate with programming staff and analysts to create datasets and conduct statistical analyses
  • Present research findings at national conferences and publish in top peer-reviewed medical journals
  • Assist in preparing new clinical research protocols and amendments
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, or a related field
  • Experience in infectious diseases epidemiology, observational data analyses, large database analysis, or randomized trials is desirable
  • Proficiency in statistical software (SAS, STATA, or R) is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and make effective presentations
