Job Description

The Controller will play a crucial part in supporting the financial health and reporting of the company while providing opportunities for professional growth. This role will oversee key aspects of the accounting function, including the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, and internal control systems. The Controller will also support external audit processes and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Support preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Support external audit processes, including preparation of audit documentation and collaboration with auditors.
  • Oversee accounts payable and cash flow management.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and ensure proper use of accounting systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including team leadership or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
