Nemours Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse to join our team. As a member of our Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team, you will be responsible for stabilizing and transporting critically ill or injured children to specialized care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the delivery and management of expert, specialty care of critically ill or injured neonates, infants, children, or adolescents during inter-facility pediatric transports.
- Collaborate with board-certified pediatric intensivists to provide direct medical command and ensure the highest level of care.
- Perform advanced procedures, including vascular access, endotracheal intubation, chest decompression, and advanced airway management.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing patient care and safety.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, families, and patients to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be obtained within 3 years.
- At least 2 years of recent pediatric critical care nursing experience required.
- Nursing Licenses: Delaware (DE) required to start; Maryland (MD), Pennsylvania (PA), and New Jersey (NJ) to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Perinatal and Neonatal Resuscitation (PHRN) and Delaware EMT certification within 2 years of hire.
- National accredited nursing certification preferred.
- Previous transport experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
