POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Resource Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of patient-centered care by mentoring and guiding newly graduated nurses and those transitioning into our healthcare system. This position provides support across various clinical units, ensuring adherence to established nursing practices, policies, and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conducts rounds on nursing units to assess patient needs and determine necessary interventions.
· Identifies educational needs for nursing staff.
· Acts as a resource for novice nurses, addressing concerns regarding nursing competencies and patient care.
· Exemplifies professional conduct, demonstrating clinical leadership and decision-making capabilities.
· Engages in patient care, coordinating delivery and utilizing the nursing process effectively.
· Serves as a subject matter expert, developing educational materials for nursing staff as required.
· Implements patient education to promote health and safety.
· Enhances nurse satisfaction and engagement by mentoring staff in effective communication and teamwork.
· Supports patient care staff and may provide direct education to patients and families.
· Acts as a clinical resource for complex patient care scenarios, offering guidance to healthcare professionals.
· Participates in rapid responses and codes, providing feedback and facilitating education and coaching.
· Identifies opportunities for practice improvements.
· Upholds ethical standards in nursing practice.
· Pursues knowledge and skills that reflect current nursing practices.
· Integrates evidence-based practices into nursing care.
· Contributes to quality nursing practices and shared decision-making by supporting council initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care or as a nurse educator is required.
· A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
· A passion for teaching and a strong foundation in nursing knowledge and skills are essential.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
