Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial and industrial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Work with blueprints and design specifications to install HVAC systems in commercial buildings and industrial settings.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking the operation of thermostats and electronic switches.
  • Respond to emergency calls to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and refrigeration issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service, educating clients on how to use and maintain their HVAC systems, and addressing any concerns or queries they might have.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to harmful substances.
  • Continually look for ways to decrease costs and improve efficiency in all HVAC systems.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or Refrigeration Technician.
  • Solid understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience in performing diagnostics and repairs in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work with HVAC systems of 5-15 tons.
  • Basic carpentry skills would be an added advantage.
