Senior Architectural Project Leader

Classification: Full-time, salaried position. Reports directly to Firm Principals.

Overview: The Senior Architectural Project Leader is responsible for high-level architectural design, documentation, and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engages in design discussions with Firm Principals, clients, and other professionals, producing compelling presentation materials.
  • Oversees the preparation and final review of drawings, specifications, and project documents prior to submission. Ensures compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Manages the creation and delivery of comprehensive Construction Documents and Specifications.
  • Reviews Construction Documents for thoroughness, precision, and inter-discipline coordination.
  • Collaborates with consultants to address building components and solutions.
  • Assists clients during the bidding phase by preparing bid documentation, responding to Contractor inquiries, and coordinating addenda.
  • Oversees project timelines; adeptly manages multiple projects concurrently.
  • Facilitates communication among team members across various disciplines to resolve significant issues related to construction documents.
  • Contributes to the development of project budgets and fee proposals.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to junior staff, overseeing their drawing production.
  • Possesses a well-rounded skill set that includes technical expertise, design acumen, and project management proficiency.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to analyze site conditions and identify constraints impacting development; offers critical insights on code and zoning regulations.
  • Exhibits extensive knowledge of building systems, construction materials, methodologies, structural principles, and building codes.
  • Possesses strong documentation and field observation skills, understanding how documents translate to construction practices.
  • Displays exceptional graphic and visualization capabilities.
  • Able to determine the appropriate level of detail required in drawing sets based on project complexity.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Professional Degree in Architecture

• Licensure or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office

• Familiarity with 3D visualization tools (Lumion, Enscape, Sketchup, Rhino) and Adobe Suite is advantageous

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong time management abilities
