Program Overview

The Child Welfare Clinician role at Cayuga Centers is responsible for providing intensive, home-based counseling services to families at risk of foster care placement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized service plans that address the specific needs of each family.
  • Provide evidence-based practices to promote family resilience and stability.
  • Work collaboratively with families to identify and build upon their strengths, promoting self-sufficiency and empowerment.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to support families in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with three years applicable experience in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice or other related human services field and certification in an Evidence-Based Based Practice.
  • Master's degree with experience in strength-based family and children services preferred.
  • License and/or Limited Permit in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling preferred.
