Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and profitable operations through sales maximization and team member growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breakdown and rotation of cooler stock
  • Weigh, price, and label products
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge
  • Manage inventory and control product ordering
  • Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety standards, as well as quality assurance
  • Train team members and manage the department in the meat manager's absence
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations
  • Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position
  • Ability to use and learn equipment and tools used to perform the job
  • Ability to work in a cold environment
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
